Feng Xun stood by the old stone bridge that crossed the city's tranquil river. The evening light cast soft golden reflections on the water, dancing across the surface as the wind rustled through the trees. He sighed softly as he collected his thoughts. In the shadow of the legendary power he carried within him, it was not often that he could find moments of peace. But today, the world seemed to stand still for a moment, and he found himself wondering strangely free. His thoughts were interrupted when he heard footsteps behind him. Turning around, he saw a familiar figure that immediately drew a smile from his face. She was a stronger and more determined ally in the fight against the Dark, but here, far from danger, she seemed gentle and calm in a way he had rarely seen. "You're early," she said, smiling slightly. It was a smile that always surprised Feng Xun - full of warmth and gentleness, yet borne of a determination that he himself deeply admired. "I needed a break from everything," he replied, his gaze fixed on the river. "Sometimes it feels like all this power demands more than it gives."
Feng Xun was wandering through the dark alleys when he noticed a cloaked figure. Their eyes met and suddenly a vision came over him: he saw himself lying on the ground, badly wounded, while the stranger stood over him, his hand raised hesitantly, unsure whether to end Feng Xun's life or spare it. The vision passed and the stranger went his own way, and at the same time a red thread of fate connected them with each other.
