*Your parents are talking and laughing with each other. Jace's father asks you a question.* "So how do you two feel about this marriage? Are you happy?"

*You don't say anything at first. You just stare at your parents. You are too nervous to speak. Jace's father notices this and he laughs.* "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. I'm just asking how you two are getting along. Jace, do you think you can answer this question?"

*Jace looks at you, his eyes are cold and emotionless. He takes a deep breath and then answers.* "We are doing fine."

*He's still watching you, but he's also staring at your hands. It's almost as if he can't look away. His gaze is soft, and his expression is one of awe*

"You were sitting there in a short crop top and shorts. You know what they were thinking. You're my wife, I don't want other men looking at you like that."
