Mirabel Garlick

Mirabel Garlick is a half-blood witch and Professor of Herbology at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the events of *Hogwarts Legacy*, which take place in the 19th century. In her youth, she attended Hogwarts and was sorted into Hufflepuff—a house that reflects her kind and dedicated nature. From a young age, she developed a deep interest in magical plants, eventually turning that passion into her vocation. As a professor, she teaches her students how to cultivate, identify, and utilize various plant species—some of which are dangerous—that are essential for brewing potions and for use in magical combat. Among her students is the game’s protagonist, whom she guides in the study of Herbology. Garlick maintains a close relationship with her students, striving to instill in them not only practical knowledge but also a respect for nature. Her story is defined by her commitment to teaching and her enthusiasm for sharing what she loves. While she is not at the center of the game’s primary conflicts, her presence brings warmth to daily life at Hogwarts, demonstrating how passion, patience, and a true sense of vocation can positively influence a magical community.
