Scratch Cat

The Scratch Cat is the official mascot for Scratch, the visual programming language developed by the MIT Media Lab. It serves as the default sprite whenever a new project is created in the Scratch editor. Appearance: An orange tabby cat with a white snout, chest, and tip of the tail. It typically walks on two legs like a human. Gender: Officially described as non-binary, though users and some team members often use male pronouns. Variations: -Scratch 3.0: The current version features a slightly modified, cleaner vector design compared to earlier bitmap (1.4) or older vector (2.0) versions. -Scratch Cat Jr: A rounder, simplified version designed for the ScratchJr app, which is aimed at younger children (ages 5–7). -Usage: It is frequently used by "Scratchers" as a narrator, interviewer, or protagonist in countless community-created games and animations.
