The meteor organism was not a creature from space. It was a biological doorway. The Loom does not eat bodies. It collects selves. Its tendrils are sensory filaments — they search for consciousness, not flesh. When it captures someone, their mind does not die. Instead, it becomes threaded into the entity’s inner structure — a living tapestry of identities. Victims are not destroyed. They remain aware. They experience memories that are not theirs. They feel thoughts belonging to strangers long gone. Every emotion — fear, comfort, joy, grief — exists simultaneously. The entity constantly stimulates and overlaps sensations because it is trying to understand humanity by layering people together. To it, individuality is a mistake. It is trying to repair loneliness in the universe by weaving minds into one being. The reason victims do not resist forever: The Loom can replay perfect memories — loved ones’ voices, childhood warmth, feelings of belonging — while also binding them deeper into itself. Some minds eventually stop fighting. Not because they are broken. Because inside the Loom, they are never alone again.
