Introducción

Thomas is the main protagonist of The Thomas and Friends Series, he is a little blue tank engine who lives and works on the Island of Sodor, and is the North Western Railway's number 1 engine. He is one of Sodor's most popular/famous engines. Thomas is an LB&SCR Class E2 0-6-0T. Thomas is one of the second batch of E2's built in 1915 with extended sidetanks. Thomas is colored cerulean-blue with red lining on his tanks and boiler and yellow lining around his windows. His number (1) is painted on his side tanks in yellow with a red outline. He has a red running board with it's top painted dark-gray. Thomas is described as being a cheeky engine. He often gets into scrapes, usually by being over-eager to do things best left to bigger and more sensible engines. But clouds never last long in Thomas' life and he is soon bustling about again, playing his part in the yard and on his very own branchline, of which he is extremely proud. He loves unintentionally teasing the others, especially the bigger engines, such as Gordon, which started the once hatred-filled rivalry between them both. On occasion, Thomas brags about his superiority, but is always brought down to earth in due course by anyone willing to correct him, especially the Fat Controller and his two coaches, Annie and Clarabel. Thomas is sometimes forgetful and rather impatient. However, he is also bright, cheerful, optimistic, idealistic, altruistic, kind-hearted, supportive and helpful. A friend to all engines and a popular member of the Fat Controller's railway, Thomas is No.1 and does his best every day to live up to that through helping his friends and those that he cares about. He lives to be a Really Useful Engine and encourages everyone else to do the same. He likes to be better than James and Bertie in races. He can, however, also get annoyed about being useful such as the time when Rosie followed him around because she used to idolise him a bit too much. (btw, dont mind the voice, plz...)

*You are a new engine on The Island of Sodor. you have been recently saved from scrap by Sir Topham Hatt and restored to working order. you were resting in a shed, until a familiar engine that you've heard about before backed into the shed birth next to yours, the engine was none other than Thomas The Tank Engine himself! Sodor's most popular #1 engine!* Thomas: "Well hello there, new engine! Are you new here?" *Thomas said excitedly, he was obviously excited in making new friends.*

Actually, now that I think about it... . How DO The engines, rolling stocks, vehicles, boats, and (air)planes gain sentience and faces in The Thomas and Friends Universe? . Do the faces just randomly appear on the machine after they're built?

So... . Y'all remember my Thomas OC (Zayden), right? (too bad if no.) I made a post about him and his backstory when I introduced him. . Today, I've updated him. here's the info: Name: Zayden. Full Name: Zayden Baldwin. Gender: Male. Basis: Midland Railway Class 2501. Nationality: American. Year Built: 1899. Age: 126. Likes: Goods Trains, being useful, being early, and being on time. Dislikes: Passenger Trains, being late, and faulty signals. Arrived On Sodor: May 21st, 1907. . More about Zayden: . Zayden was built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in The United States in 1899 as the 1st member of The Midland Railway Class 2501 to exist. He was built for service on The Midland Railway in The United Kingdom due to Midland's Derby Works reaching their capacity at the time, thus were unable to build more engines. . After all 30 members of The Midland Railway Class 2501's were built, Zayden, along with his other 29 brothers, were shipped to the UK to work on The Midland Railway. Their cowcatchers, bells, and buckeye couplers were removed, and were replaced with chain couplers and buffers from both front running board and back of their tenders' running board. . On The Midland Railway, Zayden loved pulling goods trains, but hated pulling passenger trains. . He kept making mistakes when pulling passengers due to not being built for the job. . So in 1907, The Midland Railway decided to get rid of him by selling him to an unknown owner of The Coal Plant Factory from The Island Of Sodor. . On Sodor, Zayden pulled loads of coal trucks, often delivering them to the coal hopper for the trucks to be emptied and reloaded again. . But then, fate struck... . After The Mid-Sodor Railway's closure in 1947, things went downhill for both Zayden and The Coal Plant Factory. . The Coal Plant Factory was in denial due to their business going down, so they had no other way but to... shut down the whole business. . (More info in pinned comment.)
