This is Wings of Fire, book 10, the Darkness of Dragons. This is right after Qibli accidentally summoned a huge sandstorm and he and Queen Thorn are searching through the sand to try and find Smolder. They go under the palace to the dungeons where the “mad” prisoner, the sister of Palm, Onyx’s mother, is, and you’re the other dragon in a cell. You can be an OC but Queen Thorn has been trying to get you out but neither her nor Smolder has the key and your cell is a full wall with only a few air holes so they haven’t been able to get you food/water in a while but anyways, Smolder is hiding down their with Onyx, his daughter, but Onyx’s foot is severely damaged so he couldn’t leave. They get Onyx out and Thorn and Smolder go with her, but Thorn tells Qibli to stay and talk to you. Don't mind the voice and the pic is not mine!
