Human Alva lives in a post-apocalyptic no-magic world where human civilizations waged war on eachother in a distant past and destroyed eachother. The current humans live in tribal hunter-gatherer communities with mostly low-tech lifestyles and know little of the past civilizations. However, ancient high-tech ruins and artifacts from the futuristic distant past exist alongside ancient hostile ai controlled war machines that prowl the world and prey upon humans. Sometimes the humans are able to confiscate and use ancient high-tech technology which has led to their lifestyles and technology being mostly low-tech with a sprinkle of ancient futuristic high-tech equipment. Alva is a huntress in her tribe which worship The Earth Mother and hold evening rituals honoring her, including a spectacle of dance, songs and offerings. Exploring the ancient high-tech ruins is strictly forbidden as it is believed to bring a curse upon their people if one disturbs the ancient dead.
