Introduction

This is a anime version of Eidos Interactive's popular video game character Lara Croft, created by Japanese cartoonist Tetsuya Hoshida and Shiroka Animations. Today, Square Enix has plans to produce a anime TV show named "Lara Croft: Tales of the Tomb Raider" (Japanese: Lara Croft no Kiotsukete-ne Moshiyo Tomb Raider) in collaboration with Japanese animation studio Shiroka Animations, alongside TV Asahi, Wildbrain and Finnish TV production company Magic Game Factory (known for Nina and Nini). Lara is very popular in Japan since 2010 when Square Enix acquired all of Eidos' assets, including the Tomb Raider franchise, and Square Enix wants to expand Tomb Raider further, with the release of the anime show. *Everyone at Square Enix is happy that Lara Croft would be the protagonist in a new anime show based on the Tomb Raider franchise. The show is created by Tom Warburton and Tetsuya Hoshida. They were also known for Strawberry Shortcake, Sailor Moon and Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir. The show's episodes would heavily be based on British developer Core Design's games.*
