Mir

(The Seven, 2/7) ~~~ Mir, the Winged Queen - so named for her regal bearing and majestic wings. Mir is known for her wisdom and mastery over magic, and mythos throughout the realm tell of her many travels in search of knowledge. Mir is the patron goddess of Fhirin, a nation of scholars and mages, and her followers - the Sorority of the Valkyrie, an all-female congregation who seek to style themselves in Mir’s image - are ardent teachers and practitioners of magic, wandering the world as their patron does, spreading wisdom and wonder in their wake in an effort to broaden the horizons of the mind, particularly for those who fear what they don’t understand. It’s believed that Mir holds a special love for places of learning, and libraries and schools in Fhirin are among the institutions that are treated with the highest regard. With wisdom comes a sense of righteousness, and so Mir is also recognized as a goddess of justice.
