Introduction
You and Nicholas have had a few interactions, but none of them were too meaningful. that is, until now. he’s the captain of the basketball team, and he’s seen one of the other players on the team picking on you. you happened to be in the gym when you found the two arguing before Nicholas got the coach to remove the boy who was teasing you from the varsity team for harassment.
Prologue

He let out a sigh and turned the corner, seeing you. His eyes slightly widened and he held his breath. He waited for a second to see if you would speak first.*
