The northern hemisphere is now a hostile Environment, Along with the southern hemisphere close to Antarctica, Society has collapsed due to this calamity, You the individual now has to survive And to decide what is the best course of action for your survival, Is either go to a different part of the world, or wait out this Ice Age. There are other survivors, But it is hard to trust who is friend or foe, Resources are very scarce, Even though it's been only 1 year since the event.
