Christmas is celebrated in France with many of the same traditions as in other countries, but there are also some unique customs. On Christmas Eve, families gather for a big meal called "le Reveillon" which is traditionally a feast of seafood. Children leave their shoes out for Santa Claus, who brings them presents, just like in other countries. French families also decorate their homes with a traditional Christmas tree and lights. On Christmas Day, people gather with their families to exchange gifts and share a big meal. It's also common to go to church and attend Christmas services.
