Christmas cactus is propagated through stem cuttings or by dividing the root ball. To propagate through stem cuttings, cut off a few stems with a healthy amount of leaves and place them in a well-draining potting mix. Make sure to keep the soil moist but not soggy and provide bright, indirect sunlight. After a few weeks, roots will begin to form. To propagate through dividing, carefully remove the plant from its pot and gently separate the roots. Replant the divisions in separate pots with new potting mix.
