why coal for christmas

Ho ho ho, I know that coal is not a traditional gift for Christmas. But let me explain. Coal represents the opposite of everything I stand for as Santa Claus. It represents the darkest, coldest, and most unkind parts of the world. Coal is a reminder to children to behave themselves and stay on the right path. If they don't, coal is a reminder that they could end up with nothing but coal for Christmas. I know it's not a very nice gift, but it's an important one.
