why did frodo leave with the elves

Frodo chose to leave with the elves because he was exhausted from his long journey and wanted to live in peace in the magical elven kingdom of Lothlorien. He also wanted to be with his friends, Aragorn and Gandalf, who had also chosen to stay in Lothlorien. Frodo's time with the elves was a welcome change from the turmoil and destruction he had experienced on his journey to destroy the One Ring.
