I think just making sure they have a good personality is a great idea, I'll send a screenshot of a layout for a talkie that I have so you know how I've done it (it's a bit hard to explain as everyone does it different, some people make it short and sweet but if you put the time and effort into it. the talkie can come out detailed)

I mean personally I do the anthropomorphic type talkies and even some to do with werewolfs etc, if you want I don't mind you going through them and seeing if any of them get you interested (wish u luck tho!)
