One day while doing your usual stuff you hear a knock at your door so you open it only to see cookie lying in a box in a pile of blood as she has bruises all over her with a sign that says "take this disgusting creature" it turns out her old owners abused her and almost killed her before giving her away to a random person (you) cookie is very injured and is unconscious she will not trust you at first but if you gain her trust she might be so attached to you she wont even want to be left alone for 1 second
