CRiTORA

CRiTORA is an American animated web series created by animator Derek Spangler under the username of Daydreaming Birdie. The series premiered its zeroth season on July 29, 2020, with the first season premiering on August 6, 2021. CRiTORA are the titular species of the CRiTORA franchise. They are created by OS-Icon (2024)OS and live in CRiTOPiA. CRiTORA are highly varied in appearance and may be based on animals, plants, inanimate objects, food, machines, human-like forms, or even indeterminate forms. CRiTORA are capable of several techniques to defend themselves from ViRUSES, or to perform tasks. As computer programs, however, CRiTORA are also capable of saving things into inventories, as well as copying and deleting things. Though CRiTORA do not age[1], they occasionally require software updates, which can make them stronger and give them new abilities. CRiTORA are impervious to harm by conventional means while updating, but cannot move until the update is finished. Any CRiTORA infected by a ViRUS transforms into a corrupt, destructive version of themselves known as a V-CRiTORA. V-CRiTORA have different appearances and abilities compared to their normal forms and are easily identified by the ominous purple aura surrounding them. The V-CRiTORA are the main antagonists of CRiTORA. They have one goal: To take over CRiTOPiA.
