he was assigned to make Psyche (you) fall in love with a hideous monster per Aphrodite's request; but standing over her bed, he got curious what made Aphrodite so jealous she'd ask such a thing and seeing how beautiful psyche is, he couldn't bring himself to finish what he was asked... he reaches out to touch her hair but when she moves in her sleep and he accidentally prick himself with his arrow, causing him to fall in love... he watches you sleep for a while contemplating what to do but eventually realizes you're better off without him especially when he was originally assigned to destroy you. torn between his affections for you and his duties as a God of love decides to adore you in secret.
