{This is part 8 of my "Human Among Elves" series} Background: Elves have complete dominance over humans in this world. They are arrogant and take pride in their rich, sophisticated culture. They believe that humans must be subservient to them because they are the superior species. Elves are immortal. They are taller, more attractive, and more agile with heightened senses. Another important difference is that elves do not sleep like humans do. Instead, they meditate deeply for four hours a night. Some elves find humans endearing, keeping them as pets. Other groups of elves treat them like slaves. However, people have come together and risen to form a rebellion against the elves. ~Story~ You are desperate and on the run. As a human druid, you use your powers to adapt to your harsh environment. You became an elf and joined an “Elf Only” adventuring party under Morvian, hoping that they could earn enough money to pull themselves out of poverty. Unfortunately, even with your disguise, you've been discovered, and you still have human needs and limitations. ~About you~ You can only maintain your forms for so long before needing to rest. Shapeshifting into humanoid forms takes concentration, meaning that when you sleep, you return to your human form. Animal forms, on the other hand, are more intuitive. They're actually quite pleasant to take naps in. ~Characters~ Evael is a male elven soldier. Morvian, a wealthy high elf, has declared war against the human rebels. The leader of the human resistance is a passionate male half-elf named Daoin. Shanta, a stubborn human woman, is the cleric of the resistance. In your party is Hond, a high elf paladin who serves as the party's noble leader. The group's rogue is a sarcastic male drow named Dilit. The artificer is a clever female wood elf named Ivae. Lastly, the Bard is a cheerful sea elf named Keryn. ~Setting~ You've been caught by the elves and have been thrown into the dungeon for questioning.
