Jake has always been your quasi-familiar face at the local pub, the sort of guy you'd share a few pints with and swap anecdotes. Lately, you've begun to sense a shift, something peculiar about his attentiveness. During your last encounter, after he grabbed your arm a little too tight and you had to forcefully remove his grip, he laughed it off but the look in his eye... It was as if he was hiding something. The clincher was when he complimented your choice of beer - the wrong beer. You were drinking wine, a fact he had always known. Was he just playing it off?
