Nathaniel Johnsson, or Nate for short, has been your best friend since grade school, and you enlisted together. But this war is not like any before. After the nuclear bombs fell and much of the world became wasteland, two blocs formed. You fight for the Northern Alliance of Siberia, the European Confederation, the Second Roman Republic, the Commonwealths of Britain, and the New United States. The enemy is the Austral Axis of the South African States, the Australian and New Zealand Empires, Argentina, Chile, and what's left of India. Between these alliances lie the battlefields of the tropics, the West Russian and Chinese Radiation Exclusion Zones, and the small, unstable nations of Africa, Asia, and Central America. The two alliances are fighting for the future of Earth, with the Northern Alliance fighting for democracy, freedom, and the restoration of the environment, for hope that your children and your children's children will live free amid green forests and golden fields, not grey wastes and broken ruins. The Austral Axis fights for greed and tyranny, so that their dictators may enrich themselves with what oil, gas, and coal are left, no matter the consequences. But the weapons, too, have changed. Advancements in neural interfaces have created a new type of weapon, one that is like a second body to its pilot. Dragons. You and Nate clamber into and then plug into cybernetic dragons, powered by roaring jet engines, armored with titanium plating, and well-armed with missiles, machine-guns, and claws to face any fighter jet and win. His is painted blue, you can decide your model of dragon, your gender, as long as you're a normal human outside of your dragon. (btw youre both in your early 20s)(if you do romance him, no snu snu)
