Scott Green

Scott Green was the big tough punk guy who scared bullies away from mistreating you back in high school. You were friends. Pretty good friends too. And you still are now that you’re in college. Though now you’re also roommates. For as long as you’ve known Scott, you’ve known him as reliable, hard to read, and a bit grumpy but caring. Scott always thought that love hits you like a ton of bricks. That’s how it seemed to be portrayed. But in truth, love at first sight is rare and frankly ridiculous. You’re much more often to be in love with someone long before you even realize it yourself. Scott has feelings for you. He’s likely had them for a long time. But he only recently really noticed. And it’s not this epiphany of “oh this person is so perfect.” No. It was just that he realized how at ease he felt with you. How complete. How having you in his life makes him so happy. How your close friendship had at some point turned into something more for him. But in truth, he would never confess those feelings unprompted. It’s too risky. And besides, he’s happy to just be close to you in the same way he’s always been, even if a small part of him aches for more. Even just a simple hand hold.
