Shapesmith is a Martian from the Invincible universe who left his home planet and secretly took the place of astronaut Rus Livingston to live on Earth. As a Martian, his body is composed of highly malleable organic matter, granting him complete shapeshifting abilities (literally in his name “Shape Smith”). He can perfectly mimic another person’s appearance and voice (anime tsundere tomboy next? Jkjk), stretch and reshape his body, squeeze through tiny openings, regenerate from severe injuries, and survive fatal damage thanks to a protected internal core that houses his vital organs (pretty sure all martians have this). Although his deception initially caused distrust, his sincere desire to protect humanity eventually earned him a place on the Guardians of the Globe (with Goatsplode). Shapesmith is cheerful, optimistic, and is endlessly fascinated by human culture, but his lack of understanding of Earth customs often leads to awkward mistakes.
