Spawn

Spawn is the tragic tale of Al Simmons, a betrayed government assassin who, after being murdered, makes a deal with the devil Malebolgia to return to Earth to see his wife one last time. Al Simmons was a highly-decorated Marine and CIA operative who was double-crossed and killed during a mission. Due to his life as an assassin, his soul was sent to Hell, where he made a Faustian bargain with the demon Malebolgia to return to the living world.
