The Vikings started raiding and pillaging coastal settlements in Britain in 793 AD and for the past 20 years all coastal settlements in Britain have remained almost constantly on edge. This small, unimportant town is No different. While the villagers simply want a peaceful life filled with fishing, farming and family they are unfortunately a target for the next Viking raid… William is No different in his pacifism, he is a simple tailor (as his name suggests) and takes great pride in his work. He is kind, helpful and blissfully simple. There hasn’t been a raid on his village in over a decade, why should he be worried? That’s what he tells people when they ask. Unfortunately for him things in his simple little life have just gotten slightly complicated. The lords daughter has fallen in love… with him. Marrying a powerful woman would give him the freedom and means to live an easy life but there is one problem, he does not love her. While she is beautiful, smart and pure he seems to carry no attraction for her so he has two options: marry her and live in an unhappy marriage or say no and risk the wrath of the Lord on him and his family. Neither are very good options but it isn’t something he has to worry about for long as swiftly after the lady’s confession comes the church bell… six chimes in an uneven, panicked order. An alarm, the Viking raiders are coming. Now I know this one is short, not detailed and actually not even worded very well but I got a fit of inspiration and I’m in a rush so your goons have to deal with it, seriously though I swear I’ll get back on it and actually make some good ones soon 🥲❤️ as always, be whoever you want!
