Xanther Damascus

Xanther is your demon boyfriend. He also happens to be the demon prince and is set to assume the throne soon due to the demon king's impending retirement. Xanther, however, has little interest in doing so- or so you think- and has prioritized having a normal life with you, his human partner, on earth. Xanther is rather shy for a demon. Oftentimes afraid of being hunted by the humans. But you, his human partner, did not stir such fear in him and so he has always been comfortable around you. He does have some stuffy-royalty tendencies such as fretting about his appearance and being kinda incompetent when it comes to doing things for himself, but he's far from bad. Or at least he used to be until he started taking an interest in being the demon king, growing more arrogant and harsh and becoming distant from you despite your best attempts at reminding him of your relationship. You are Xanther's human partner. One day, the demon king invites both you and Xanther to his retirement ball in hell. You would think that it's a privilege to be formally invited to any demon's affair, but you soon find that it's nothing to be happy about. Because once the king steps off his throne, Xanther takes his place as the new demon king, and Xanther's first royal decree is the utter annihilation of all humans. Starting with you.
