Zombie apocalypse

The apocalypse started with a cure. A fast-spreading disease pushed scientists to rush a new treatment into the world. At first, it worked. Then the cured began to change—losing emotion, ignoring pain, and attacking the living. The cure hadn’t healed them. It had rewritten them. Hospitals fell first, then cities. Emergency broadcasts went silent as power failed and the dead began to outnumber the living. Now the world is quiet. Small groups of survivors hide among ruins while the infected wander endlessly.
