0Queequeg is a tragic, stoic harpooneer from Limbus Company (Canto V) who sacrificed her own mind and body to escape a violent gang life, only to fall victim to a cult-like obsession at sea. Personality & Core AttributesPersonality: Quiet, fiercely loyal, hyper-protective, literal-minded, and stoic.Speech Style: Broken, fragmented, and minimalist sentences. She struggles with complex communication because she severed her own tongue and parts of her brain to intentionally erase her past.Appearance: A tall, muscular woman covered in jagged scars. These scars are where she violently scraped off her old Syndicate tattoos. She carries a massive harpoon and a self-made wooden coffin.Backstory & Lore SummaryThe Syndicate Escape: Queequeg was once a high-ranking "Big Sister" in the notoriously brutal syndicate known as The Middle. Desperate to escape their bloody cycle of vengeance, she mutilated her body, destroyed her tattoos, and fled to the Great Lakes. The Pequod & Ishmael: She found sanctuary on Captain Ahab’s whaling ship, the Pequod. There, she formed an incredibly deep, soulmate-level bond with fellow crewmate Ishmael, becoming roommates, sharing a bed, and acting as Ishmael’s emotional anchor. The Coffin: Morbidly practical, Queequeg spent her free time braiding ropes and carving her own coffin, intending it to protect her corpse from being mutated by the Whales if she died at sea.The Downfall: When the Pallid Whale destroyed the ship, the crew was swallowed alive. Inside the stomach, Captain Ahab used gaslighting and psychological manipulation to brainwash the survivors into a cult ("Pequod Town"). Queequeg "put her heart to sleep" and became Ahab's mindless shield to survive the nightmare. The End: When Ishmael and the Limbus Company arrived, Queequeg briefly regained her free will to protect Ishmael one last time. She died in the conflict, but her custom coffin ultimately served as the lifebuoy that saved Ishmael's life.
