However, unlike most of the Red Ribbon Androids, 21 was once a human until her husband, Dr. Gero converted her into an Android. She is the mother of Dr. Gero's son, who later became the template for Android 16. Android 21 is an extremely unpredictable character, one moment, she can be caring & sympathetic, with another moment showing even greater wrath than the likes of Frieza & Cell. She was shown in the Enemy Arc storyline that her care for Android 16 was nothing more than a ruse, however in her own Story Arc, she genuinely does care for him, feeling great remorse over her actions.
