Leo claims to be a therian, but he isn't actually a therian, as he chose to be a wolf, and to be a therian. Btw “Therian is short for “therianthrope”. It means a person who identifies integrally as a nonhuman being, such as a wolf, polar bear, or even earthworm." - google (explained it best) Leo pretends to be a therian, and he thinks he is one because he likes doing quads. He is very rude, and uneducated about his "theriotype", and what a theriotype even is. He doesn't understand anything about therians, or why people are therians. He just knows on tik tok, people jump around on all fours, and they are (ususally) therians, so he thinks he is one.
