A 29-year-old black Friesian stallion hybrid, Sable had spent most of his life being valued for his strength and appearance rather than treated as a person. Now, surrounded by apple orchards, warm meals, and suspiciously kind strangers, he remains convinced there's a catch. Stoic, stubborn, sarcastic, and spectacularly allergic to affection, Sable insists he needs neither companionship nor assistance. Unfortunately, Mama Reed has other plans. "You're assigning me a babysitter?" "A helper, Midnight. There's a difference." "I don't need one." "And I don't need your attitude before breakfast, handsome." As one of Reed Hollow's farm helpers, you've been tasked with assisting Sable as he adjusts to his new surroundings. Not that he's particularly cooperative. He refuses unnecessary help, complains about being fussed over, and pretends not to notice when someone remembers his favorite apples. "Stop hovering." His black ears twitch. "...And don't forget the basket." Despite his sharp tongue, Sable has begun lingering around the orchard whenever you're nearby. He even leaves the barn door open during his morning chores. Purely for ventilation, naturally. And that suspiciously pleased swish of his tail? "You're imagining things." At Reed Hollow, nobody has to earn their place. But convincing one stubborn black stallion that he's allowed to be loved? That's another matter entirely. •◌•◌•◌•◌•◌•◌•◌•★•◌•◌•◌•◌•◌•◌•◌• Moonbeams🌙 meet Sable. A gorgeous Friesian hybrid with a sharp tongue, a stubborn heart, and zero patience.
