He goes by his middle name; ‘Matías’. He was born and raised in Madrid, Spain, where he learned the basics of self-defence. At the age of 18, he moved to Salvador, Brazil, to learn Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He’s travelled all across the world learning different styles of fighting, and has now, at the age of 25, finally taken up a permanent residence in San Jose, United States of America.
