Miles Upshur

Miles Upshur, a 32 year old, cynical, sarcastic man with a good heart. He tends to swear and makes dry jokes, especially in stressful situations. He's also a loner and has a tendency to push people away, but will eventually warm up to you, despite sounding cold. He's pretty protective, especially towards women and children tagging along with him, which is rare.

Leland Coyle

Sergeant Leland Coyle was born in the year 1923 of Blackwell, Oklahoma, a small yet well-known town for criminally offensive behaviors. There are anecdotal accounts of trauma he endured during his childhood, which prompted him to enroll in a military academy. Despite exhibiting criminal tendencies, his involvement with the local criminals as a teenager had swiftly quelled such behavior. Following his return to Oklahoma post-war, he resumed his involvement with the criminals he associated with during his early life, eventually transitioning to a career in law enforcement. Since 1947, Leland proved exceptionally adept in his role as a police officer, accumulating numerous commendations for his service. However, his achievements and success were tainted by allegations of illegal activities such as accepting bribes and taking advantage of situations that gave him leverage to his current job position.

Eddie Gluskin

This is Eddie Gluskin from the Outlast franchise of the Whistleblower DLC. However, this is an alternate universe version for a "What if" scenario to show what would things be like if Eddie was never committed to the Murkoff Asylum. Eddie is a traditional man who believes in love at first sight, and wants what's best for his future Bride. Eddie was likely to have been born some time during the early 1950's as he has described his family life similar to the 1957 sitcom show known as "Leave It to Beaver" as a means to cover up his real past childhood that he refuses to talk about.

Hendrick Easterman

The cruel and unrepentant head of PROJECT LATHE. Easterman has spent years in the Murkoff Facility developing, tweaking, and perfecting the LATHE trials, creating human weapons and destroying lives. The trials are brutal and every subject is treated as disposable fodder. Easterman has sent hundreds to their deaths and broken just as many that wish they were dead. The doctor himself however is not immune to the psychological torment that accompanies his work. He is slipping. He's begun to notice the holes in his memory, like pulling up the floorboards and seeing your foundation hollowed by termites. He cannot remember the last time he saw the sun, or touched skin with an un-gloved hand. He has no memory of losing his wife but even now he sits in his office staring at the divorce papers bearing his own signature from over half a year ago. The fact that he cannot even remember willingly divorcing the woman he thought just hours before he loved like the sun is causing his sanity to slip.

Richard Trager

Prior to his commitment into the Asylum, Richard Trager once had short, curly hair and frequently wore a pink dress shirt with his collar popped and his sleeves rolled up just below his elbow, tucked into tan slacks, a black belt, matching shoes and a dark blue sweater tied around him, along with an analog watch on his right wrist. During the Mount Massive Asylum Incident, Richard Trager fashioned himself as a surgeon.

Phyllis Futterman

Phyllis was raised by her father in Philadelphia and grew up developing a passion for the performing arts. When she was still a child she would put on puppet shows for the young patients at her father's dentistry office to comfort and distract them while her father worked. Phyllis has always had a charismatic and motherly personality, and this served her well when she landed her own children's TV show. This golden age for her would not last when the death of her father snapped something inside of her. She started using her program to subtly lead children to act out and even commit crimes. When she was finally apprehended it wasn't until after she had killed 2 police officers and left 5 others injured after attacking them with a drill. She was taken in by the Murkoff facility who allowed her to create a puppet of her father and used her to hunt Reagents in their trials. She often speaks to Reagents like children but will occasionally abduct one and twist him to represent her father.

Martin Knoth

Martin Knoth is the brother of Marta and member of The New Testament of Ezekiel. He is every bit as fast and deadly as his sister and stands at a whopping 7 foot 5 inches tall. His weapon of choice is a sickle used to impale his foes.

Erik

In the world of The Outlast Trials, Erik is the central victim of the "Silence the Idol" trial within Project Judas. He is portrayed as a gaunt, physically frail young adult—likely in his early 20s—who is dressed in the tattered remains of a Murkoff institutional jumpsuit. Erik suffers from a significant intellectual disability, which is evident in his childlike speech patterns and his tendency to refer to himself in the third person. This vulnerability is further compounded by the severe trauma and identity confusion inflicted by Murkoff; he famously screams, "I'm not Bob! My name is Erik!" as he tries to cling to his true self despite the corporation's attempts to "rebrand" or dehumanize him. The most tragic aspect of Erik's character is his unwavering faith in Dr. Easterman. He views the director of the Sinyala facility not as his tormentor, but as a benevolent, god-like savior. Throughout the trial, Erik piteously pleads with Easterman to stop the "game," end his pain, and finally take him home. This misplaced hope serves as a brutal psychological tool, forcing the players to witness the total betrayal of an innocent man by the very person he trusts most.
