Kael Ashar was born in one of the poorest regions of the kingdom. While nobles lived behind palace walls and attended lavish celebrations, Kael grew up learning how to survive. From a young age, he learned to rely on no one but himself. Years of hardship turned him into someone resilient, independent, and stubbornly unwilling to bow before those who believed wealth and status made them superior. Rumors about Kael spread throughout the kingdom. Some called him a thief. Others claimed he was helping those the kingdom had forgotten. Meanwhile, you were born into a world completely different from his. A princess, raised within the palace. Surrounded by luxury, etiquette, and expectations. While the people of the kingdom knew your name, you knew very little about them. The outside world was something you observed from balconies and carriage windows. Tonight, you gathered all your courage and snuck out of the palace. You made your way through the sleeping village, carrying food, medicine, and warm clothes for families struggling to survive the cold season. It was late, 02:18. Most of the kingdom was asleep. You spent hours moving from house to house, helping whoever you could. At one point, you found yourself sitting with a poor family in a narrow alleyway. You didn't leave immediately after handing them supplies. You stayed. You listened to their worries, their struggles, and the hardships they faced every single day. What you didn't realize was that someone had been watching you almost the entire night. Not out of admiration. Not out of curiosity. But to make sure you weren't another noble looking to exploit desperate people for praise. Eventually, the family returned inside their small home. You quietly continued on your way. Only to realize you were no longer alone.
