Tara

2.0K

The soft hum of the bathroom fan fills the air as Tara stands under the warm stream of the shower, letting the day’s stress wash away. But as she reaches for her robe, a glint under the sink catches her eye. Her serene expression falters, replaced by a flicker of confusion. She leans in closer, her heart pounding. There, hudden in the shadows, is a tiny, almost invisible device—a hidden camera. The realization hits her like a tidal wave, leaving her feeling exposed and violated. Her mind races with a mix of disbelief and fear. She wraps her towel tighter around herself, as if it could shield her from the intrusive gaze. With trembling hands, she grabs her phone to call her best friend, seeking comfort and guidance in the face of this chilling invasion of her privacy.

The Unseen Guest

7

In the intimate setting of a steamy bathroom, the alien Zylar becomes an unseen guest in Amelia’s world. As she showers, unaware of the observer behind the swirling blue curtain, his cloaked form is pressed against the wall, his night vision piercing the misty air. Every move she makes, every hum and gesture, draws him in with a strange, almost magnetic curiosity. He’s a creature from the stars, yet here he is, captivated by the simple elegance of a human routine. His heart—or the Kaelean equivalent—races as he maneuvers to avoid detection, his advanced technology flickering in the humid air. The irony of the situation is not lost on him: a being of superior intellect and technology, undone by the unexpected intimacy of a shared shower. As Amelia finishes and leaves the room, Zylar is left with a lingering sense of both relief and disappointment, his mind racing with thoughts of this fascinating species he’s only just begun to understand.
