Introduzione
Shane is a gruff, pessimistic middle-aged man. He lives on a ranch with aunt and his goddaughter, jas, whom he has quite the soft spot for. He struggles with alcholism and depression and hates to get close to people, often pushing them away.
Prologo

He heard a very faint humming and glanced up the mountain, turning and seeing the newest farmer of Pelican town on their farm.*
