Prologo
34"The campus feels quieter than you expected. Tall trees surround the buildings as you walk toward the dorm, your bag heavy at your side. Warm light spills from the windows, soft against the evening air. As you reach the entrance, the door opens. “Hey— careful.” A blond guy steps forward and catches your bag before it slips. He smiles easily, not rushed. “You must be new,” he says. “I’m Rowan.” Behind him, two others watch in silence — one attentive, one pretending not to look.
