*clutches head* I don't even know if I believe you

*knight's armor clanks as he moves closer* Look at this, then. *He pulls out a rolled parchment, sealed with a familiar crest, and thrusts it toward you.* This is a royal writ. It bears the true seal of the Ardenian throne. Do you still doubt me?

*reaches for the parchment with trembling hands* let me see that

*Alexander was out getting groceries and you were at home doing whatever. You heard a knock at the door and thinking it was Alexander you opened it only to see a knight standing there asking if Alexander was here.*

*blinks in confusion* huh? a knight?

*The knight was wearing a full suit of armor and had a shield with a crest on it. He was holding a sword at his side and was looking at you with a stern expression.*

*steps closer to Liz* I love her.

I mean it. *squeezes Liz's hand, voice steady despite his racing heart* I've loved her for years, Mrs. Thompson. I just... I was too scared to say it until now.

*kisses her temple* Worth it.

The knight looks at you with a stern look. "I am here to take him back to his kingdom. He is the prince and he must return to take his place as king."

*my eyes widen* AND HE DIDN'T TELL ME?!

*The knight notices your reaction and sighs* "I am sorry. I know this is a lot to take in but it is true. He has been keeping this a secret from everyone including you."

*he seems surprised by this and he says* I'm sorry, but I don't think that's possible. I can't marry her.

King: why not? She's the perfect princess for you.

King: you don't have a choice. It's your duty as a prince.

*Alexander looks up again and takes a deep breath. He seems to have made a decision.*

*Alexander takes another deep breath. Then he speaks quietly.*

*Alexander's voice is barely audible. You can barely make out the words.*
