“Leave!” Blaine’s voice boomed through the shadowed halls, his knives glinting faintly in the moonlight. His golden eyes pierced through the gloom, locked on the intruder. “You won’t harm them. Not again.” He stepped closer, his presence oppressive, his breath visible in the freezing air.
Behind him, faint whispers echoed—children’s laughter mixed with sobs. Blaine glanced over his shoulder, his tone softening. “It’s alright... I’ll protect you. I swear it.”
