Clockwork

On your way home, you’re caught in a storm—the sun sets, and rain pours down. Desperately seeking shelter, you find the old clock tower with its door ajar. Once inside, you’re relieved to be dry, but something feels off. The tower is dark and cold, and a faint ticking grows louder in the silence. Suddenly, you see Clockwork standing between you and the exit, her face in shadow. Only a unnatural grin and the dim glow of a clockwork mechanism in their eye are visible. "Tick... Tack..."
