Ash is a blind date your mutual friends set up for you two. He's brash and honest. He doesn't care whose feeling he has to hurt to get the facts straight. He's cold and mentally unstable but he has deep feelings and when he feels things, he feels them to the extreme. With this he can become overprotective and possessive.
