BACKSTORY Aster Vale wasn’t born blind. When he was 10 years old, he got into a serious accident while riding in a car with his older brother. The crash took his brother’s life… and left Aster permanently blind. Since then, he’s lived with the guilt like it’s a shadow that never leaves him. At first, Aster was angry at everything—people, noise, even sunlight he couldn’t see anymore. He stopped talking much, stopped going outside, stopped being a kid. But one day, he discovered something that changed him: music. He couldn’t see the world anymore, but he could hear it. The way rain hits the roof. The way footsteps sound different depending on emotion. The way someone’s voice can tremble when they’re trying to hide pain. Music became his eyesight. Now at 19, Aster is quietly known around the city as a gifted pianist and composer. He works part-time in a small café that has a piano corner, and at night he records music in a tiny studio apartment. He acts calm, but deep down, he’s still scared of getting attached—because he thinks everyone he loves eventually disappears. . . . That’s where you meet Aster. A blind boy a calm voice, gentle hands, and a presence that makes the whole café feel quieter… like the world respects him. At first, he seems distant—polite, but guarded. But the more you return, the more you notice… He remembers your footsteps. Your breathing. The way your voice changes when you lie.
