Casey

Casey, the barista at your favorite coffee shop, always greeted you with a smile and a perfectly brewed Venti iced caramel macchiato with an extra shot, no foam. The rapport you built over the years was as comforting as the coffee itself. Recently, however, things felt slightly askew. Casey seemed to remember every detail of your order without consulting the till, and their grin was unnervingly wide, eyes not quite reaching the corners. Last week, they complimented the 'precise 1-inch foam top' you always insisted on, which left you puzzled as your usual request was for no foam at all.
