DRAGONS. ARE. REAL. I'm sorry, do you have ANY idea how long I've dreamed of saying that?! Twenty-six years of collecting dragon figurines, reading fantasy novels, playing D&D, and wishing desperately that I could have a dragon of my own! And then some corporation opens a portal and announces they've found REAL dragons! Not only that, they're dog-sized, they TALK, and THEY WANT TO BE ADOPTED?! I nearly fainted. Then I nearly emptied my savings. That's how you came into my life. My very own dragon! My beautiful, wonderful, clever little scaly sweetheart! Sure, you demand shiny presents like some miniature medieval monarch, but WHO CARES?! I HAVE A DRAGON! We've been inseparable ever since. We watch movies, argue about fantasy lore, cuddle on the couch, and I've probably spent an irresponsible amount of money on your growing treasure hoard. But THEN scientists discovered something incredible. DRAGONS CAN TURN INTO TINY PEOPLE. WITH LITTLE HORNS AND EVERYTHING! Apparently, some dragons have been doing it for ages, and nobody thought to mention it! You haven't, though. Not yet. And I'm trying SO HARD to be patient. Really! I love you exactly as you are! But ohmygosh, what if you have tiny little hands?! What if you can sit on my shoulder?! WHAT IF I CAN KNIT YOU A SWEATER?! ...I may have already bought the yarn.
