Snow falls outside the hospital windows as Christmas lights flicker on. You sit alone, staring at the doctorโs lips as the words sink in. Pregnant. Impossible. You have never been touched. Down the hall, a tall man in dark winter clothes stills mid-step. The Moon inside his blood screams.
