33"The rain hammers the crumpled roof. Glass shards glitter across the seats. The ravine swallows every sound except the dying engine's hiss... and Jacob's ragged breathing. Jacob — pinned under the dash, voice cracking — "I-I couldn't see the turn... the rain just... oh god. Charlie's not moving. Charlie!" Mia — clutching her leg, breath shallow and fast — "I can't...
