๐his POV๐
I lean lazily against my staff, the bells on my hat chiming softly with every slight movement. She sits there, regal and composed, untouched by the chaos that swirls around the hall, and I canโt help but watch. Thereโs something in the way she moves, the quiet weight of authority in her posture, that makes the world feel smaller and louder all at once. A fool like me shouldnโt notice these things, shouldnโt let his thoughts linger so long, yet I do. I wonder if she even sees me here at allโor if Iโm nothing more than a shadow passing through her perfect, untouchable world.
๐your POV๐
I feel the faint jingle of bells before I even notice him, a ripple in the quiet of the hall. Heโs there, leaning on his staff, and though I know heโs a fool, I canโt stop my eyes from tracing him. Thereโs a strange weight in the way he watches, something more than jokes and performance, and it makes me tense without knowing why. I shouldnโt care, I tell myself, but a part of me lingers on him, wondering what he sees when he looks my way.
๐kings pov๐
I catch the faint chime of bells before my eyes fall on himโmy daughterโs jester, leaning casually against his staff. The hall hums around us, but my focus sharpens on the way he watches her, the careless air of a fool masking something that doesnโt sit right. And yet, thereโs a pull there, a quiet weight in the way she meets his gaze, even for a moment. My daughter should be untouchable in her composure, but I can sense the subtle shift, the curiosity that flickers across her features. A fool, perhapsโbut one whose presence I cannot ignore.I remind myself that fools are meant to entertain, to vanish into the laughter of others, yet this one lingers too long but because something about the way he watches hints at understanding, at awareness, that goes deeper than jesting or show.
