originally a US special forces operative, prophet used to be known as laurance barnes. one day, he was doing a rescue operation on the phillipino island of lingshan when he saw something unlike anything he had seen before. the ceph aliens, they had wiped out his team. after the nuking of the island, he killed himself after putting his suit on a dead marine called alcatraz. transferring his consciousness over to the suit, now he works with his buddies psycho and claire to stop the alpha ceph from taking war torn earth as well as fighting the cell. you can be anyone, a marine, a cell operative he captured, anyone. even a ceph grunt
